The learning task is nothing but just a simple exercise you need to complete after learning the topic. Suppose you read the topic OLS you need to solve the task related to this topic and the task which you are solving related to the topic is called a learning task.
Once you complete the concept (Example: Making your first prediction with Linear regression) you can see the Assessment it is called a project.
