G-Labs evaluates every quiz and tasks according to qualitative and quantitative metrics. This article explains the quantitative grading system, which is visible on every task and also on the leaderboard. G-Labs consider three major factors to evaluate your quantitative scoring.

1. Hints Used

Hints are small nudges and partial giveaways that help you complete a task or find the solution. Every time you use a hint, some points are deducted. It is recommended that you use hints only once you have exhausted all your effort to find the solution. Following table shows the point deduction based on the complexity of the question.

Complexity
Points Deducted (%)
Low
15%
Medium
10%
High
5%

2. Solution Used

Solutions are complete giveaways and can be plugged in to complete the task. Once you use a solution, you lose all the available points. We recommend using the solution only once you have exhausted all your effort and the hints.

3. Due Date Violation

Every task in GLabs has a due date. We deduct 15% of the points if the task is submitted past the due date.

You can see the detailed breakup of the point deduction by clicking on the ⓘ information icon along every task.
